Building QUick Serve Franchises Is A Willoughby Speciality

Quick Serve. Thoughtful Constuction.

Quick serve construction includes building restaurants called cafés, bistros, fast food outlets, pubs, bars, nightclubs, pubs, hotels, or banqueting venues, typically having minimal table service and low price points on the menu. Traditionally, this is what consumers know as fast food.

Willoughby has experience building franchise and corporate quick serve locations in multiple locations around the United States. Willoughby has expertise in all facets of quick serve operations. We can deliver a complete turn-key operation, or provide as much or as little support as you require.

Fast Food from a by-gone era

Fast food restaurants trace their roots to roadhouses, roadside inns, and taverns, where food was served quickly. Over time, as automobiles became more commonplace, consumers began preferring to drive to fast-food restaurants. Some fast-food restaurants began advertising their proximity to highways and main roads, and they began to become associated with speed and mobility. In the United States, the first "modern" fast food restaurant opened in 1940 in Los Angeles, California, by Frank C. Robinson. It was called Robinson's Drive-in. By 1945, there were 600 drive-in restaurants in California.
